2018 Audi A4's Premium Balance Tallies to "Luxury Car of the Year" Award From Cars.com

There are numerous visual and subjective qualities that make up a sport sedan, and the 2018 Audi A4 exemplifies the essentials. From the long hood and swept back green house, to a planted stance and snarling turbocharged inline-four, all the ingredients are there. But some parts of that recipe have cooked up some impressive acclaim for the new-generation car--among them the "Luxury Car of the Year" title from Cars.com.

As you might have guessed from our recent posts, our new Audi lineup has been getting a lot of acclaim during awards season. Not only has the Q7 won two awards, but so has the all-new Q5. But what makes the A4's title so special is the way indicates just how broadly this car defines itself.

In the "Luxury Car of the Year" press release, the editors behind the title summed up this car as an excellent balance of luxury, sport, comfort, amenities, and function. For fans of the A4, none of that is news. But for those who know this breed of car for their firmer ride, this might confuse some. That brings us to the first aspect that sets this sport sedan apart from the pack--whether the Drive Select setting is tuned to "Comfort" or "Dynamic," the A4 balances a plush ride with class-leading acceleration.

With the likes of standard leather upholstery on entry "Premium" models, as well as available quattro all-wheel drive, a manual transmission, and essential safety systems front-and-center, the A4 also makes sense from a value standpoint, too! And thanks to that fuel-sipping TSFI inline-four under the clam-shell hood, up to 34 mpg on the highway makes this car a gripping and dynamic commuter.

The true test for any sport sedan, however, is the innovation behind its engineering--and this is where the A4 has always shone. Now riding on the new "B9" platform, the 2018 car is nearly impossible to phase in any driving situation, and always ready to play. It also offers Audi's Virtual Cockpit interface, and an available adaptive cruise control system that integrates Google Maps data to automatically slow the car in turns. When it comes to intelligent innovations at this price, the A4 trades in more than acclaim.

It trades in smiles--but you won't get far trying to measure those. They're meant to be enjoyed, similarly to the experience that awaits our Irving and Lancaster, TX shoppers at our Audi dealership in Dallas, TX! Our sales representatives would be happy to answer any questions you might have about our inventory, and get your test drive appointment set in stone.
